When people hear the ring announcer say Roman's name and or you hear that famous Shield song hit, the reaction is nothing but negative.  Few cheers mixed with a swarm of boos is what you get with "Vince's REAL Boy" Roman Reigns.  Roman, what Vince envisions as the top dog or money maker of the WWE is neither.  Most of the anti Roman heat comes from older fans, which makes up a very high percentage of fans in attendance and watching at home.  Yes, kids know him and wear his merch, but that is where it ends.  Next time you watch RAW, look around at the fans in attendance and try to find a Roman shirt. For those of us that follow the independent wrestling scene, certain promotions are know for certain things, CZW is violent and rough, New Japan is artistic, and PWG has  American Legion Post #308. Sure they have had events elsewhere, but Post 308 is home for PWG, the sweat lodge has given so many classic memories and helped make a name for so many prominent wrestlers. Wrestlers such as The Young Bucks, Cesaro, Aj Styles, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and sooooooo many more have graced the wrestling room of the Post. The Post have given us iconic and classic matches, goofy segments, emotional farewells, and more holy shit moments that I can count in an afternoon. It's a place where I fell in love with modern wrestling and wrestlers being able to tell a story without a story being in place. When you read a lot of my shit, I am overly critical of the product that WWE puts out on a weekly basis. I love wrestling, hell I love WWE wrestling, they give us so much programming on a weekly basis, and for a wrestling fan, that is tremendous. The problem I have with WWE is that they have so much talent, so much that they don't know what to do with it or how to properly utilize it. That is why I am so engrossed with so many other independent promotions. They do more with less talent and put on more entertaining shows that don't seem to drag on. Other promotions, such as New Japan, CZW, Ring of Honor, Progress, and on and on, I could list all day, they have a ton of talent, but they also do everything that they can to get that talent on television and put them in something relevant. WWE Superstar Shakeup What I have decided to do is give 4 superstars from RAW and 4 superstars from Smackdown (tag team's will count as 'one person') a change of scenery. The change might have a reason why or just the superstars name. I'm going to exclude NXT because with the call-ups coming this week, I don't feel like there will be much shift there. Jared's Shakeup: RAW to Smackdown Jeff Hardy - My reasoning behind Jeff changing over to SDLive is for the fact that he didn't return as a full blown Brother Nero. So I feel like, even though that character might come about sooner than later, Jeff will probably end up on SDLive. Finn Balor - Sending Finn over to SDLive is not a downgrade at all. I think that he will benefit from a run at the US or possibly WWE championships, without having to be in Braun, Roman or Brock's shadow. Matt the Stache's Roster Shakeups My first one isn't really talent related, but have the writers for Raw go to Smackdown and vice versa. The writing on both shows has grown pretty stagnant, writing has been lazy, talent under utilized. I love wrestling and love watching wrestling, watching a show should not have to feel like a chore. The creative teams should take some more chances, write outside the box stories. If you want fans to be involved with the product, give them a reason to be. Raw sends Roman Reigns to Smackdown: Roman is like the New York Yankees, by that I mean you either love the guy or hate the guy, some guys could use a change and sent to a "lesser" program. Roman won't have the same pressure on Smackdown, he can experiment with new and creative ways to make his character work. I'm not going to bore you with a lot of gibberish about each match. But I'm going to give you a quick review of WrestleMania 34... I'll give you a * rating (best would be *****) and a quick explanation if warranted. Here we go.. Men's Battle Royal: ** stars. I had to replay this match up, didn't see it live. I though it is what it is. Matt Hardy winning was something I didn't see happening, but the swerve with Wyatt helping him makes things interesting. Kayfabe: Alive or Dead? Who here remembers kayfabe? Anybody? The younger generation of wrestling viewers probably have no clue. Kayfabe was an art, it was protecting everything sacred in the business of wrestling. I really miss kayfabe, it kept everything a surprise, you had good guys and bad guys. Heels were legit heels, babyfaces were legit babyfaces. Without kayfabe, Hulk Hogan wouldn't have been the success he became, The Iron Sheikh wouldn't have been one of the best bad guys in the business. There was a time when wrestling felt real, you sympathized your hero's, you booed the dastardly heel. That's very limited now. Life started to change in the way of kayfabe when The Sheikh and Hacksaw Jim Duggan got pulled over and arrested riding to the next town with each other, at the time people were wondering why they were in the same car, two guys that hate each other shouldn't be in the same car, it later led to Hacksaw being terminated from the WWE.
